NATIONAL PEACE-SULTAN,EMIR OF ILORIN AND AREGBESOLA SEEK UNITY

In the wake of religious,ethnic and other divisions which permeates the country, leaders of thought say it is pertinent to resort to prayer in salvaging the myriads of problem facing the nation.

Governor of Osun state Rauf Aregbesola Hosted the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad III, Emir of Ilorin Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, The president League of imams and Alfas Osun Alhaji Keulere and other eminent Islamic personalities in Osogbo at the Osun state Muslim Community national prayer session.

The sultan admonished Muslim leaders on unity while the governor in his speech laments the level of poverty which characterised the Muslim Ummah. This he says is responsible for the success of terrorists in brainwashing people in to suicide bombing with little financial gain. 

Aregbesola thus call on all Muslims to make concerted and cooperative efforts in banishing hunger and poverty among Muslim faithful.

Other dignitaries present include registrar of Jamb, professor Isiaq Oloyede, chief missioner of Ansarudeen Sheikh Abdurahman Ahmad and Alhaji Sakariyau Olayiwola Babalola (SOB), the deputy president general south, Nigeria supreme council for Islamic affairs.
