Breaking: Nnamdi KANU Absent In court, Senator Abaribe Seeks Discharge As Surety

The prosecution counsel, Shaibu Laraban has asked Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja to revoke the bail granted to Kanu on the ground of the first defendant's failure to attend his trial.

Shaibu also want the judge to issue a bench warrant on Kanu and equally order his three sureties including a serving senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe to appear in court and show cause why they should not be committed to prison.

In response to the judge's questions on whereabouts of the first defendant, Kanu's lawyer denied knowledge of where his client is but he linked the alleged military evasion of the defendant's house as the main reason.

A counsel has appeared for senator Abaribe in the case with an application asking for Court order to stop him from standing as a surety for Kanu on the ground that the accused did not inform him his whereabouts.

The trial judge is yet to take a decision on the motion raised by the prosecution.
