OPC: "Kankanfo his foot": Lies from the Pit of Hell – Kayode Ogundamisi

The appointment of National Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress as Aare Ona Kakanfo designate has continued to generate reactions.

The latest is the reaction of Kayode Ogundamisi who was mentioned in the  piece of Punch's Tunde Odesola describing Gani Adams as a misfit for the exalted position of the Generalissimo of the entire Yoruba race. Read
his reply:

My attention has been drawn to article by Tunde Odesola of the Punch Newspaper. The journalist in his article made the ridiculous assertions in his write up titled ‘Kakanfo my foot’. I will only concentrate on where he mentioned my name, from
all indication Tunde Odesola would have to see a medical doctor and his employer Punch Newspaper must start reviewing all his reports, it is either Odesola is a bad liar, suffering from Alzheimer or in early stages of senility. I will be brief.

1. Tunde Odesola claimed I was “Gani Adam’s able lieutenant” FALSE: I was Secretary General of Dr Fredrick Fasehun faction of the OPC, during the crisis both sides hardly saw eye to eye but for a
rare joint operation in defence of Ajegunle. I and a majority of leading executives resigned from the OPC because of ideological disagreements.

2. The Secretary-General to then Gani Adams faction was Evangelist Kunle Adesokan.

3. Tunde Odesola claimed he saw my ‘lifeless body’ in Punch Akure office around 2000. FALSE: I never set foot in Akure in the year 2000. As a matter of fact, I was shuttling between my base in Germany and Lagos in that year.

4. Tunde Odesola claimed I was in the Gani Adams convoy that was attacked in Akure. FALSE: I have never been on any convoy with Gani Adams.

We have maintained cordial relationships after the OPC crisis and do keep in touch if need be I call on the public to disregard the write up “Kakanfo my foot! By Tunde Odesola” it is nothing but a lie from the pit of hell, same with his fiction.
