Ondo is Open To Private Investors - Akeredolu



The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has once again assured investors willing to do business in the state of his administration's commitment to providing conducive environment for such investments.

The governor gave the assurance at a business meeting with a Chinese firm, China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, CEEC, in his office in Akure.

He said Ondo State has a lot of mineral endowments that investors could put their money on to make a productive venture.

"Ondo State is one of the oil producing states in Nigeria and it has Liquefied Natural  Gas potentials in commercial quantity; Bitumen, Kaolin, Coal, Salt, Tin and Mables.

" As we speak, there are no granite or bitumen processing companies in the state so, the resources are exported in raw state for processing in other countries and for us it's  unacceptable.

" We shall give you our maximum support. You can count on us,"  he said.

Speaking earlier on the investment interests of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, CEEC, the Managing Director, Mr Shao Wen said the Chinese energy conglomerate was prepared to partner Ondo State on sustainable energy technology innovation.

 Mr  Shao who used the occasion to speak on the competence of CEEC, described energy as the life- wire of industrialisation.

The Executive Director of Niger Delta Power Holding, Ife Oyedele was part of the delegation.
