Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo has expressed that the proposed Ethanol plant to be established in the state by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC will boost the state economic status.
The plant, according to him will also create over a hundred thousand jobs for the people of the state.
Akeredolu made this known on Wednesday while speaking with journalists in Akure.
The Governor said the Multi-million dollars project to be situated at Oke-luse in Ose local government area of the state will also boost his drive to turn the state into industrialized hub.
Ondo state Government had in Abuja on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC to establish ethanol plant in the state.
The Project expected to begin by the first quarter of next year is to the tune of one hundred and seventy-five million dollars.
