A prominent businessman and chieftain of Alliance for Democracy in Ondo State, Mr Olayato Aribo, a.k.a, Oyato and a former member of the Ondo State House Assembly, Hon Fola Olaseinde, a.k.a, Yeye Mofin with their political supporters have returned to the All Progressives Congress, APC, after a brief sojourn in the Alliance for Democracy, AD.
Receiving the two chieftains and their associates in AD and other political parties at St. Paul Primary School playing ground in Ifon, headquarters of Ose Local Government Area, the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, commended them for retracing their steps back to the party.
The State Governor who said no one was above mistake particularly in politics, added that the party was ready to welcome back other members who defected from APC at one time or the other.
Arakunrin Akeredolu , appreciated God for giving him victory at the 2016 gubernatorial election in the state with his victory theme songs and thanked his supporters across the state who worked fervently to make the victory a remarkably sweet one.
He therefore enjoined the returnees to support his administration in its efforts at transforming the entire state and make Ondo State the treasure base of progressive politics in Nigeria.
Also, the Acting State Chairman of APC, Engineer Ade Adetimehin expressed joy over the return of the duo with their supporters and in Ose Local Government Area and assured them of all rights and privileges as members of the All Progressives Congress.
While urging the new entrants to remain committed by being hundred percent faithful to APC, the Acting Chairman warned against any form of romance with any other political party so that the mistake of the past will not be repeated.
Mr Olayato Aribo and Hon.Fola Olaseinde thanked the governor for accepting them back to the party and promised to work towards taking the APC to greater heights in future elections.
Earlier the State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe who is a leader of the party in the Local Government had reeled out several ongoing projects initiated by the present administration in the Council Area, which included, the Ethanol Industry, Sugar cane Factory and road projects.
The development came barely a week after a member of the House of Representatives representing Ileoluji /Odigbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin and stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party and Alliance for Democracy in the Southern Senatorial District dumped their political parties for APC .
