A Group of youth in osun State known as Development Advocacy Group has called on all political parties, especially All Progressive Congress in the state to provide a level playing ground to all Aspirants.
The leader of the group Dr. Wasiu Oyedokun who leads a peaceful protest to condemn agitation of some people who are calling for Zoning of Governorship to the west.
According to him, the best Aspirant is the answer, not Aspirants from the west.
He maintained that Zoning the governorship to the west senatorial district of the state would be tantamount to narrowing the chances of competent aspirants from other part of the state.
The protesters who moved from Ayetoro axis of osogbo, the state capital to the All Progressive Congress Secretariat, Ogo-Oluwa area of the state to register their grievances to the party executive carried placards with different inscriptions such as hunger has no Zoning, let Competency win, no separation, we want merit and many others inscriptions to drive home their demands.
Other members of the group who spoke with our correspondent lamented that it was not in the best interest of residents of the state to have myopic sight and limit the opportunity of competent hands that can continue the legacy of Aregbesola in the state.
At the APC party Secretariat, the party executives were not on ground to address the protesters, but a letter was dropped at the Secretariat.
