Monarch Threaten Daughter-In-Law’s Life For Preventing Daughters’ Circumcision



The in-law to Osun Monarch, Mrs. Omobolaji Enitan Joshua has cried out over the several threat to the life by, Olola of Olola, via Igangan-Amuta, Ilesa,  Oba Adeniran Aribilola on her daughter for her refusal to yield grand daughters for circumcision rite.

It was learnt that Mrs Aribilola Olanifesi Olawunmi who married  the son of Osun monarch, Prince Seun Aribilola had three children.

On several occasion, Oba Adeniran Aribilola has accused the daughter-in-law of bewitching his son which has made Prince Aribilola to be defiant to his instructions especially about the circumcision of grand daughters.

It was gathered from a reliable source that the monarch disowned his son after he became a pastor and threatened to kill daughter-in-law for not releasing grand daughters for circumcision in 2015.

After several threat received by the daughter-in-law she and her husband ran to safety of their life and children in December 2016.

It was also gathered that the King is perpetrating threat through his brother who is also a traditional title holder in the same community, Chief Atifoluwa Aribilola.

Mrs. Joshua expressed concern over the security of her daughter and grand children's life, said, I am confused and I am scared for the life of my daughter.

She said, "The life of my daughter and grand children are in danger if sighted anywhere by the family of her husband.


"The husband's family has made our own plight lack merit from Police. Hence, the police through the Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department is tackling the case from the angle that my daughter kidnapped her children for three years.

She implored traditional authorities and government authorities to helped to intervene on the matter.


According to a neighbor of Mrs. Omobolaji Joshua who doesn't want his name in print said, "At 5pm yesterday(Thursday) the brother-in-laws(Chief Atifoluwa Aribilola Igangan - Ilesa) stormed the parent's house located around airport road, Ibadan with machetes and dangerous charms to demand for the children having gotten information that the wife of their son will arrive the country very soon.
