Leaders of traditional religion worshippers have called on southwest governors to emulate Osun state government in promoting the richness of Yoruba culture and tradition.
The traditionalists made the call in Osogbo during this year’s “Isese” day celebration.
Araba Awo of Osogbo, Ifayemi Elebuibon and the Asiwaju Awo Agbaye, Ifagbenuola Atandan said the significance of the day is to pay homage to the almighty God and the Yoruba Progenitors.
They urged other southwest governors to Accord more priority to the promotion of African cultural heritage.
Speaking at the event, asiwaju Awo of New York city, Joyce Adewunmi maintained that lack of proper education on the richness of Yoruba culture contributed to lack of interest from the younger generation.
Traditional worshipers across the southwest states and those in diaspora were among those that graced the event.
