People of Osun state declined to participate in the planned “Revolution Now” protest by former presidential candidate of AAC, Omoyele Sowore.
Residents across popular areas in the state capital were seen going about their normal businesses despite the planned protest.
Absence of protest was also noticed at the popular Freedom Park where most protesters in the state usually converge to plan their activities.
Reacting to the planned protest, some of the residents advocated peaceful approach of protest but lamented the spate of insecurity as well as social and economic crisis in the country .
They charged government to follow the rule of law on the issue.
Social activist in the state, Saka Waheed bemoaned the arrest of the convener of the protest by the DSS, and maintained that legal actions should be allowed to take it’s course.
