COVID-19: Nigeria records 574 new cases, nine deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 574 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the country to 146,928.

The health agency also confirmed the death of nine persons due to COVID-19 complications as total fatalities jumped to 1,761.

NCDC made the confirmation on Monday night via a report on its official website.

It also said that 1,478 patients have recovered and have been discharged in Lagos, Oyo and Kwara States. No fewer than 123,009 patients have so far recovered from the dreaded virus.
