A reporter of DailyPost identified as Sikiru Obarayese has been arrested by officers of the Osun State Police Command while covering the #EndSARS memorial rally in Osogbo on Wednesday.
He was arrested at Freedom Park area and taken to Dugbe Police station despite identifying himself properly.
Other journalists covering the protest ran from the scene to prevent arrest by the police operatives.
Timenews gathered that the Police invaded the area with about eight vehicles and an Amoured Vehicle Personnel Career to disrupt the peaceful protest.
Also, protesters marched from Ita-Olokan area through to Oja-Oba, Station road, post office, old-garage and Oke-Fia.
The police attacked the protesters at Oke-Fia and arrested some of them.
