A woman whose son had set ablaze has lost her life at the General Hospital, Minna in Niger state.
The deceased, Comfort Jiya, a resident of Darus Salam Area in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State, died after her son had poured premium motor spirit on her body and lit a match while she was busy in the kitchen.
Some of the eyewitnesses confirmed that Steven, son of late Comfort, committed the crime on Monday evening the 20th of December 2021.
One of the eyewitnesses had accused Steven of threatening to kill his mother on several occasions.
Late Comfort was rushed to General Hospital Minna on Tuesday as doctors battled to save her life which proved futile as she gave up the ghost on Saturday.
Steen Jiya the suspect, according to sources hinted that he was a drug addict. Men of the Nigeria Police had since arrested the suspect and arraigned before a Minna High Court for trial.
