While delivering his judgement, justice Mohammed Danjuma observed that the impeachment of Alhaji Olanusi was not done in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Justice Danjuma held that the former deputy governor was not accorded fair hearing before he was impeached.
He also ordered the immediate restoration of the rights and benefits due to Alhaji Olanusi from the time of his removal from office to the period his tenure elapsed.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Ali Olanusi has hailed the judgement of the appellate court that quash his impeachment as the deputy governor of Ondo State.
Alhaji Olanusi described the judiciary as the hope of a common man.
He thanked the people of Ondo State for their support through out the period of the legal battle.
Recall that Alhaji Olanusi was impeached as the deputy governor of Dr Olusola Mimiko on April 27, 2015 by the state House of Assembly over anti-party activities.
The ex-deputy governor, who is now a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Board of Trustees, was away on vacation when he was impeached by the lawmakers.
