OLUWO FINALLY APPEARS IN COURT AS CHIEF MAGISTRATE STRIKES OUT CASE

The criminal case of advanced free fraud filed against a front-line traditional monarch in Osun state, The Oluwo Of Iwo land, oba AbdualRasheed Akanbi has been the finally put to rest.
The suit was struck out by Chief Magistrate Fatimah Sodehinde of the state magistrate court, following its withrawal by the plaintiff, the Oluwo-oke of iwo oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye.
Oba Adeoye had in November 2016 approached the state Magistrate Court accusing Oba Akanbi of concealing some facts about his past to the state government when he was installed over a year ago.
During the court proceedings, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdRasheed Akanbi falied to appear in court making the then trial magistrate, Olusola Aluko to issue a bench warant against him, which was also not obeyed.
Oba Akanbi said his abscence during the trial was not out of disrepect but a misunderstanding.
Oluwo in his word said ” I never meant to disrespect the judiciary.  I have utmost respect for this Court and will never do anything to belittle it”
” In my personal capacity, i have continued to do everything within my power to support the judiciary. Recently, i renovated the magistrate Court in my town, and it’s all because of my regard of the judiciary”
The case which had created tension in the state, took the intervention of some notable Nigerians including former president Olusegun Obasanjo to be resolved, after prevailing on the plaintiff to withdraw and allow peace reign.
