The governor of Ondo state Rotimi Akeredolu in his first offcial day in office had met workers of the state in Akure. The workers went on a prayer session for the smooth sail of Akeredolu’s government. But to the governor, the state workforce should be the first point of contact due to the 7 months salary arrears owed them by the immediate past government of Olusegun Mimiko. State doctors are also on indefinite srtike and all these were summed up making the governor to address the workers.

After the prayer session where the workers prayed for the success of Aketi’s administration, the loud Amen which followed the prayer point of their salary arrears speak much of the dire need of the workers.

The governor thus sets up a committee thereof which will look into the matter with a view to finding earnest solution to the backlog of salaries owed. He went further to appeal to the state doctors to resume immediately promising to look into their matter immediately.

Akeredolu however call for the support of all workers and prepared them ahead for a hardworking session saying “it is time for Ondo state to move forward”. He also promised the revamping of the agricultural sector.
