The senate has approved the request of President Muhammadu Buhari for the five hundred million dollar euro bond in the international capital market for the funding of the 2017 budget.
Resolving into the committee of the whole house to consider the request, the senate said for the budget to be properly executed, the funds will have to be accessed and utilized appropriately.
Minority leader of the senate Godswill Akpabio said that the minority members are in total support of the request as it will help better the lives of the ordinary Nigerians who are going through the hardest of times now.
