Ekiti 2018: “Congressman” Bimbo Daramola Declares Interest

A former member of House Representative and chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Ekiti State, Congressman Bimbo Daramola yesterday in Ado presented his trajectories in politics and mission if elected as Governor of Ekiti.

The former House of Representative member elected under Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN which later metamorphosed into All Progressives Congress, APC was Director General of Former Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi reelection organization, met with the team of young social media routers in Ado Ekiti in company of his aides and loyalist. The face-off with the bloggers lasted 90minutes, cuts deeply through personal experience, agenda, personality and democratic culture related to party discipline.

“I have no intention to run for Governor, but the good people of the state who are ardent believer of strident but radical people oriented programmes that could turn around the fortune of the state ran to me and said, we cannot throw the race open and allow jesters get away with our collective efforts at making the state great again”.

“I am equally aware of the names in the race, I fear no one. I have come to make the difference. And if I’m unable to remarkably turn this state around in 2years through our carefully designed programmes and agenda I will resign, he swore.”

On the role of youth forming his government: He explained that the issue is non negotiable. The youth are the first sector of his agenda, promised they will occupy integral part of his administration so much that he has been investing in the youth with the grant-in aid support for the purchase of one thousand forms (1000) for students. A scheme and initiative he is willing to sustain and expand if giving opportunity to serve.

He also promised to make good use of the #250million monthly security vote, meeting realities of average Ekiti, building schools and investing more on Education.

He hails from Ire, Ekiti, of Ekiti North Senatorial District.
