Oshinbajo Calls For Better Teaching Techniques In Schools

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has called on stakeholders in the education sector to evolve better teaching and learning techniques that will address contemporary challenges confronting societies in modern times.

Prof. Osinbajo said this while receiving a delegation from West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) led by its chairperson Evelyn Kandakai at the Presidential villa.

The vice president explained that it is necessary to work out educational systems that is relevant to the people.

He noted that initial contributions in the sector were inherited from colonial times adding that it is becoming more evident that we must chart our own course in education.

The vice president commended WAEC and management for maintaining the institutions status as the for most sub-regional examination body which has maintained its standards and quality for many years.

The chairperson of WAEC Evelyn Kandakai had earlier thanked the vice president for the reception, noting that Nigeria is a big pillar of support to WAEC in all its years of existence.
