Osun Will Produce 11,000 World Class Scholars Yearly -Aregbesola

“I can see the future, and the future is in these classrooms” .

Those were the opening words of Governor Rauf Aregbesola, quoting from that golden nugget of Ivan Welton Fitzwater. Allusion to the above seem necessary for the governor since it is the commissioning of an educational edifice, The Ataoja Government High School in Osogbo.

Leading other perks of dignitaries to the opening ceremony,  the deputy governor Titi  Laoye-Tomori who doubles as the commissioner for education in Osun  state submits that building of mega schools like that Ataoja  was borne out of the commitment of the Osun state government in changing the face of education in the state.

Earlier at the event, leadership of the Osun  state chapter of Nigeria Union of Teachers decry the level of thuggery and hooliganism experienced across schools in the state.

In his response however, Governor Aregbesola vows that the tide is about to change. Giving analogy of how good environment breeds good students, Aregbesola opined that the Mega schools being put in place is not only to check hooliganism and thuggery but also afford Osun  state the opportunity to produce 11,000 world class scholars yearly as the Mega schools, 11 proposed in all are expected to produce 1,000 school graduates yearly though only 4 are completed of the 11 proposed.

Goodwill messages were delivered but the most spectacular was that of Oluwo  of Iwo, Oba  Abdulrasheed Akanbi who asked the Governor to borrow as much as possible since the loans taken are justified by the projects executedhttp://www.timenewsng.com/2017/03/continue-to-borrow-as-much-as-possible.html?m=1

The commissioning was done amidst pomp and pageantry while other hitherto commissioned schools celebrate “students resumption
