Ondo state house of assembly now has a new speaker. He is Mr Bamidele Oloyeloogun.
Mr Oloyeloogun defeated Mr Olamide George with 9 votes against 4 votes.
The house also elected Mr Ogundeji Iroju as deputy speaker.
Mr Oloyeloogun is representing Ifedore constituency in the house.
This has finally put paid to the eating speakership of Malachi Coker who was elected on the 20th of March.
This new election also lay credence to a shadow election reportedly held at the behest of the state governor Rotimi Akeredolu where Oleyeloogun was said to have emerged then against the preffered candidate Olamide George.
