Calabar30 And Ugo Ehiogu: ManU Commiserates With Fans, Hotspur

Two tragic events rocked the Nigerian football circle at few hours interval. And English Premier League side is connected to both sad event.  First was the electrocution of 30 ManU fans in Calabar while watching match between Manchester United and Andaletch on Thursday night.  The second was the death of Tottenham Hotspur coach and Nigerian Ugo Ehiogu who died Friday morning from cardiac arrest which he suffered during training on Thursday.

Manchester United took to its twitter handle to commiserate with the management of Tottenham Hotspur and postponed it’s reserved game with Tottenham.

In same vein, the premier league giant also sent condolences to the families and relatives of its fans who died tragically through electrocution in Calabar.

This is coming when Nigerians are still expecting official reaction from the Nigerian government over the loss of lives. Though the federal government is currently leading a fierce crusade against erection of temporary or permanent structure under high tension lines, Nigerians still believe that there should be a statement from any arm of the government to commiserate with the deceased families.
