Health Minister Adewole, Fayemi, Basiru pay Tribute To Adeleke

The Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole has condoled with the family of the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke who by providence was the first executive governor of Osun State and until his unfortunate death, a serving distinguished APC senator from Osun West senatorial district.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of a friend, brother, statesman and a seasoned politician: his loss is likened to a swift wind that faints away gradually but I take solace in knowing that he played his active role in shaping the political landscape of our dear state and Nigeria as a progressive agent of positive change through his qualitative representation, selfless service to mankind, unequaled philanthropic gestures and religious  leadership disposition as a revered community leader”.

Also, the minister for solid minerals and natural resources, Dr Kayode Fayemi has commiserated with the family of the Late Adeleke over his sudden demise.

Fayemi in a tweet Sunday evening said “Yet another sad loss! We are yet to overcome the shock of Dipo Famakinwa’s loss. And now Senator Adeleke!!! What’s happening Lord?’
In the same vein, A socio-political group, Osun Positive Force (OPF) has commiserated with the Adeleke family, Government and people of the State of Osun, the Senate and the entire people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke.

In a statement personally signed by the convener of the group, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, OPF stated that Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s demise came at a time the “state needed his political experience, tenacity and courage the most to position the state and the country at large on the path of sustainable growth and development.”

While acknowledging the pioneering works of the late senator in laying the foundation for the overall development of the state during his short period in office as governor in the aborted third republic, the group appreciated the late Adeleke’s “enthusiasm, pragmatism and unswerving contributions to robust legislations, especially on electoral justice and promotion of democratic ethos” as a senator.

 “His death is a deep loss to the good people of Osun and Nigeria, and we commiserate with the Adeleke family, the good people of Ede and the Government and people of the State of Osun, the Senate and the entire people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the death of this illustrious personality and pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest”.
