I Know Nothing About Punch Reporter’s Expulsion- Femi Adeshina

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, has said he was not consulted before the expulsion of the correspondent of The Punch, Olalekan Adetayo, from the Presidential Villa.
Adetayo was on Monday expelled by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief Security Officer, Bashir Abubakar, from the Presidential Villa.
Speaking with The Eagle Online on the telephone, Adesina said the action of Abubakar, an operative of the Department of State Services, was not discussed with him.
He said: “I was not consulted before it happened.
“I was not informed.”
Asked what will happen next, Adesina told The Eagle Online: “We will look into this.
“But I want to assure you that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will continue to uphold the freedom of the press and we will settle this amicably.”
