The Ondo State Football Agency(ODSFA) has unveiled a new set of technical crew for Sunshine Stars Football Club with the task to escape relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The coaches unveiled are former super eagles coaches, Austin Eguavoen as Head coach and Ike Shorunmu as Goal Keeper Trainer.
Performing the unveiling, the Chairman of the Interim Management Committee of the Ondo State Football Agency, Mr Gbenga Elegbeleye urged the new coaches to be alive to their new responsibilities in a bid to ensure the team is revived.
The football administrator disclosed that with the position of the team on the league table, it is about to be relegated. He emphasised that to prevent relegation, sentiments must be put aside in recruiting of players.
Elegbeleye said the assignmemt of the new coaching crew is to make sure that Sunshine Stars do not go on relegation and also ensure they do well in the FA Cup.
Responding, on behalf of the new coaches, Coach Austin Eguavoen said the team is good but at times situation may make players lose confidence and concentration.
He stressed the need to fortify the team with more players for optimum performance in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
He promised that the team leadership will work hard, expressing hope that at the end of the season, the club will celebrate.
