The People’s Democratic Party in Lagos State may be ready to give the ruling All Progressive Congress run for its money in the forthcoming local government election in the state. The Party stakeholders say they are ready to slug it out with the APC in the forthcoming poll and see to the reality of sweeping most of the local council seats if not all.
These were the words of Hon. Sherrif Akorede, a chairman aspirant under the flagship of the PDP for Orile-Agege LCDA. Akorede spoke while picking his intent form at the party secretariat in Agege.
Chairman of the party in Agege local government,Honourable Abiodun Ogedengbe eulogise Hon Akorede as a committed party man who is strong enough to fly the party flag at the forthcoming poll,being the first aspirant to pick intent form not only in Agege local government but the entire Lagos State.
While being confronted on the hurdles to be faced especially with the crisis rocking the PDP, Akorede who doubles as the chairman, PDP Aspirants Forum in Agege says the crisis will not dampen the chance of the PDP in the state.
As the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) releases the guideline for the election, the race between aspirants in every participating party is no doubt getting to shape what is to be expected in weeks to come
