Before the news of the suspension of the Babachir Lawal and Ayodele Oke filtered into town, there has been long wait by State House journalists to cover another Federal Executive Council meeting held every Wednesday.
As at 11am,There was no sign that the weekly federal executive council meeting will be held.
None of the cabinet members showed up at the council chambers, venue of the weekly meeting.
The last federal executive meeting was presided over by Vice president osinbajo, but the Federal government held that the absence President Muhammadu buhari is not on health ground.
The Minister of information and culture defended the president’s absence claiming that President Buhari was attending to other national assignments at his official residence.
But no reason has been given for the cancellation of today’s federal executive meeting.
More curiosity got aroused when briefing of suspended duo of Babachir Lawal and Ayodele Oke was handled by the vice President.
Further checks reveal that President Muhammadu Busari has not been coming to his office lately. This is raising more questions on the state of President Muhammadu Buhari’s health as its being bandied around that he might either be resting or totally taken out of the country discreetly for medical attention.
