Oluwo Is A Paedophile, Can’t Suspend Me – Ogundokun

The royal rumble brewing in Iwo between the Oluwo of Iwo Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi and Chief  Abiola Ogundokun  may be taken a notch higher.

Oluwo of Iwo  in a Press statement credited to his palace had accused Ogundokun of disrespecting the royal stool which informed the king to dethrone Ogundokun from all religious, social and traditional titles bestowed on him in Iwo land.

The statement read thus “As the ruler and custodian of all Traditional, Cultural religious and social clubs in Iwoland, I hereby relief him of all his traditional and social titles ranging from Basorun Muslim of Iwoland, member of Iwo Board of Trustees (IBOT) , Otun Balogun of Iwoland and other proposed titles that may be accorded to him from Iwo. A Chief is appointed to favour the town. Any Chief, either traditional or religious treasonable should be dealt with accordingly. Ogundokun is one of them. I removed him after due consultation with Chiefs, religious leaders, stakeholders and opinion leaders in the interest of Iwo”

But in a swift reaction to this development, the man in the eye of the storm Abiola Ogundokun says the Oluwo of Iwo lacks any moral or legal authority to dethrone or suspend him from any office he is holding either traditional or religious.

Asked what the bone of contention was, Ogundokun while speaking with TimeNewsNg says his offence against Oluwo was hisstand in correcting the monarch to desist from his nefarious activities of homosexuality, thuggery, drug peddling and abuse among other social vices indulged by the young monarch.

Ogundokun accused Oluwo of defiling young boys who run errand for him in his palace, saying Oluwo never appointed him through any instrument of office as a traditional ruler and as such cannot dethrone him from any office, not even the Otun -Balogun of Iwo land.

While Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi holds that he’s been shielding Ogundokun from this sort of treatment, Ogundokun on the other hand opined that he has been the one supporting the monarch with everything since he ascended the throne by renovating his palace to the tune of five million Naira alongside monthly salary for the monarch which he stopped in January.

As this continues to generate reactions, the week may be an interesting one as accusations and counter-accusations continue to fly around.
