Suspended Ekiti Lawmaker Breaks Silence; Lambasts Fayose

Hon. Olugboyega Aribisogan

Honourable Olugboyega Aribisogan until his suspension from the Ekiti State House of Assembly was representing Ikole constituency one and the chairman House committee on Information.

His suspension followed his fall out with the governor of the state Ayodele Fayose in the ground that he was hobnobbing with political enemies of the state. A purported meeting with some APC stalwarts and Senator Buruji Kashamu, a one time friend of Fayose in Lagos was used as his suspension bait.

While the panel which sat on the case said they have evidential clip which nailed Aribisogan, the embattled Honourable maintained his innocence.

Six months after, Honourable Aribisogan finally breaks his silence in what may be seen as a direct confrontation with Ayo Fayose whom he accused of been the brain behind his ordeal.

In a response to a quest by one of his constituents, Aribisogan through his facebook handle lambasted Ayo Fayose, accusing him of being the greatest anti-party man in PDP. Aribisogan also accused Fayose of being a serial traitor who is out to silence the people of Ikole constituency One. Read the full excerpt below

To my brother FAGG
RE: IKOLE CONSTITUENCY ONE WHERE ARE WE?
I was deeply touched when I read your comment on the current state of things in Ikole Local Government early this morning. In fact I found it difficult to sleep after I read that piece.
You struck the right chord in me and touched the fundamental issues currently begging for answers.  In response to your questions I will lead you into some of the hidden facts about our political situation in Ikole Local Government.
The truth is that we are at a critical crossroad,: between survival  and extinction as a political entity. Today we stand between a forfeiture of all the astounding dreams of our fore fathers and the disgraceful submission to perfidy and eternal damnation. The choice is ours. The truth is clear. It is either we make a move now or never. We must resist the temptation of labelled cowards.
Let us ask ourselves. How long can we pretend that our suffering under the present political arrangement in Ekiti state is merely a crisis that can be resolved by name calling and blame game?
At what juncture do we stand up and acknowledged that the grave matter of continued Denial of Representation in the State House of Assembly, Disrespect for our Leaders both political, Spiritual and Temporal and the Stigmatization of Ikole political Leaders as Traitors and Betrayers, that has hobbled our progress in the last two years.
Fagg, can we afford to fold our arms and stand in neutral corner and pretend that these things will go away ? Can we jump into the fray and fight if only to affirm and tell the whole world that we are not what they call us ?.
Methinks, we must make up our mind, stand up and tell those saying that gibberish that they are the betrayers. We must let our people know that our accusers are themselves traitors and ingrates.
We must let our people know that it is all blackmail and attempt to cover up their failings and unjust treatment of Ikole people.
Fagg, why is that it that it is after we might have spent our time, energy and resources to put him power that he finds flimsy excuses to deny us of our rights in Ikole. Go back memory lane, Rt. Hon. Ajigbolamu was labelled a betrayer  and  was removed because he refused to join him to sack Hon Taye Fasuuba an elected Chairman of Ado Local Government. Hon Omolayo was labelled a betrayer and suspended because he did not join him to cover up the looting of the treasury.
This time, Hon Gboyega  Aribisogan is a betrayer and suspended for anti party activities because he allegedly visited Senator Buruji Kashamu a fellow PDP member, his benefactor who helped him to power.
Yet he refused to recognise the contributions of Rt Hon Olugbemi Hon Adeloye Ikole Leaders who stood by him during his travails.
Fagg, we must make a stand and confront these maladies. We must galvanize our people to let them appreciate the enormity of these challenges and the future consequences of our failure to address them.
We must be counted to be on the righteous and redeeming side of history.
As I see  it, from my personal prism, as one of the leaders of our people, I owe it a duty to defend their interest and aspirations at all time. My current travails in the hand of the man at Oke Bareke can be situated within the context of blind loyalty to a man and loyalty to a people.
The man wanted blind loyalty in form of the medieval absolute submission of freedom and  rights to the King, but he found in me a man who will not always pander to his whims, a man that will always ask question before jumping into the fray. He became uncomfortable. He decided to strike again and denied ikole people  of its voice in the House of Assembly for the past six months.
Since then he has continued to insult our people, our leaders and good spirited people who sought to intervene. He rebuffed all entreaties and talked down on our kings and chiefs. He commanded that no meeting should be held over the matter.
Unfortunately,  some of our sons and daughters are still hailing him. Some still believe that it is all about Oluomo Gboyega Aribisogan.. Even some are  already jostling and scrambling for the  non vacant Assembly seat.
He came up with the jejune allegations of anti party activities  and attempt to bring down OUR government
Fagg, who is guilty of anti party activities if not a man who openly fraternize, canvass support and praise sing the leaders of another party while still holding the mandate of his  own party? Let’s read between the lines. This is where we are.Good morning.
