2017 Budget: Nigeria To Use N1.7 Trillion For Debt Servicing

Analysis of the 2017 budget has shown that Nigeria will be using up to 1.7 trillion Naija totalling about 20 percent of the whole budget for debt servicing.
The 2017 budget also shows for the first time in recent years where capital expenditure is about commesurating with recurrent expenditure.
The total revenue expected by the federal government stood at five trillion Naira while budget deficit stood at over two billion Naira.
The call by Nigerians to the Federal government as regards the total amount raked in so far in recoveries may have been answered with domestic recoveries in assets and fines standing at two hundred and sixty two billion Naira with other recoveries standing at two hundred and six billion Naira.
This is coming as the National Assembly increased its own budget with a whooping ten billion Naira  before it was finally passed.
Nigerians wait for the consent of Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to make the document an operational law even as the fiscal year is running to its half.
