Barely few hours after the Iwo monarch Oba Abdulrasheed made a frantic appeal for the arrest of an armed gang, daredevil armed robbers in a brazen show of force stormed the ancient city on Tuesday and robbed three new generation banks.
Three policemen were said to have been killed in the bank raid that happened few minutes to 4pm with save our souls calls pouting in to the state police formation from various quarters especially Bowen University.
One of the armed robbers was also gunned down by the police, it was learnt.
