The coast is now clear for Ademola Adeleke as he,barring any last minute change, will be the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming OSUN west senatorial bye-election.
News coming from Iwo confirms that other contestants for the ticket in the likes of Sunkanmi Akinlabi and Olayiwola Falabi stepped down for Ademola Adeleke at the Iwo city stadium venue of the primary.
Colonel Olayiwola Falabi and olasunkanmi akinlabi both announced that they have stepped down for the interest of the party.
Olasunkanmi in his concession speech said other aspirants as at yesterday decided to stepped down for him but he had to step down after calls from various quarters.
He said the party was promised that osun west would produce the governorship candidate for the party next year.
That he is stepping down for party interest and not for demola adeleke.
