Governors on the platform of the All progressives Congress APC say the ruling party will hold its National convention soon.
Briefing State house correspondents after a closed door meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa,Chairman of the progressives Governors’ forum and Governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha said the leadership of the APC is working hard to fortify the party ahead of future elections.
The meeting is a continuation of strategies by the ruling party to close ranks ahead of the next general elections.
The nascent unity amongst the people’s democratic party members following the recent supreme court judgement according to observers has been source of worry for
the APC
But The Imo state Governor who led his colleagues in the All progressives Congress to the meeting with the Acting president shortly after Thursday’s National Economic council meeting told reporters that the ruling party is not threatened by the resolution of the PDP leadership crisis.
Okorocha also dismissed speculations that the APC may not hold its convention without President Muhammadu Buhari.
