Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court Abuja has discharged and acquitted a senator representing Borno South senatorial district Ali Ndume of Boko Haram sponsorship case filed against him by the federal government.
Delivering a ruling on Ndume’s no case submission, the judge held that the prosecution failed to link the defendant with the charges against him.
Ndume was prosecuted by the federal government on allegation that he provided Boko Haram members with classified information that aided their operations in the northeast of the country.
