“My Lord is not on a bench, but on His throne! If I lied against YOU, then may His wrath be upon me. If YOU lied that YOU didn’t open my face veil, then may His wrath, anger and punishment be upon YOU till YOU publicly repent and apologize as YOU violated me in public!”
Those were the words of Shareefah Yunus, a Muslim with Islamic veil (Niqob) who was assaulted at the Lagos state secretariat on Monday. Shareefah narrated her ordeal
“November 20th 2017 I went to Alausa secretariat at Adeyemi Bero Hall for an exhibition.
I wanted to talk to a lady concerning a proposed exhibition some women entrepreneurs are organising. She is said to be the one who was given the contract to partition the exhibition center at the event.
As i called her and she turned towards me,without provocation and excuse of any sort, she yanked, pulled and lifted my niqob(face cover) in public ,exposing me and saying in derision , “who are you”?
I was shocked , extremely embarrassed, upset and felt violated!
I asked, “why would you do that” ? She replied,” I don’t have time for this,I am here to work,if you have anything to say to me go and say it to my boys”!
I went after her and told her she could apologise and she shouted ,”sorry,is that what you want to hear”,she hissed and walked away!
Imagine someone lifting up your skirts while pulling down your pants in public? That feeling of being victimized and oppressed was how I felt, her non remorseful actions and speech made it abhorrent !
People came out to comfort me as i was weeping,I was so upset and kept wondering why would someone have so much hatred…
I knew she was highly connected as she talked with the arrogance of someone who is. My sisters went to her and she kept shouting at them she has no time, besides she isn’t a Muslim so how would she know if it was wrong!
I am posting this for several reasons. In the last few weeks i have been assaulted more than thrice while someone threatened to beat me up,my crime has always been, having the guts to dress as a muslim woman in Lagos/Nigeria!
I have been called a terrorist, insulted and abused. All these by mainly none muslims. I am shocked at how Nigerians have become so filled with hatred and intolerance. People will assault/insult us and say ,”e de ni elesin ni yin”! People will tell us leave them, yet they cant take it. In fact when i went to report her, someone actually gave her the excuse that she did what she did cos she was scared of me,while another person said Nigeria is dangerous now so she did that for protection!
Some elders apologised on her behalf, but lo and behold i saw her again and she denied what she did and then threatened me arrogantly with “her siblings being on the bench”!”
But on further checks, the woman who made this assault was given away by eye witnesses as Kemi Ilori. Kemi Ilori according to her profile on LinkedIn is a professional exhibitionist. She was at the Adeyemi Bero hall on that fateful day for an exhibition as stated by Shareefah.
Since her account gone viral, several Islamic organisations and individuals like the former chairman of Ondo state Muslim Pilgrim welfare board have condemned the act saying it is the height of religious intolerance especially in the southwestern part of Nigeria.

\” bika ba rojo, ika ko Ni yio da\” if a fool put an argument it doesn't judge by a fool. From Kemi Ilori's reply it's obvious that she committed d said offence. Irrespective of godfather one may have, almighty Allah is supreme in judgment.
She deserves a brain test

Allah Allam.
My attention was drawn to this post which is currently trending. I am amazed at this orchestrated falsehood by compulsive jealous females. I work hard and I have no apologies for me chosen to do the work I do which has my Clients; mostly private sector, using me again and again.I had constructed Africa Industrialization day exhibition for Lagos state this week (now yearly; this being my second of that particular one). I had worked tirelessly the whole weekend and arrived at the opening ceremony during the \”tour of exhibition stands\”. We also had \”turn around\” stands to construct which I wanted to supervise. These are stands built on the spot where guests sat; after the ceremony is over. I quickly greeted the LASG officials I knew and briskly walked to proceed with the work, mid-stride, I was WAYLAYED by two hijab wearing women. One said, \”Aunty Kemi\” and the other said we want to see you. I didn't and still do not know these women, they approached me!! I bent forward, peered at the woman and said, \”Hello, You want to see me?\” She moved backward and started shouting, \”Don't try to touch me\”. I turned and continued to my job. They thereafter came in threes and fours; all hijabed women, saying, \”Why do they give you these jobs?\”, \”You are so arrogant: is it because of who your fathers is?\”. I was shocked. My father is almost 84yrs old, what has he done to them. The next thing I saw was this post where they went to my Linkedin page and lifted my photograph to publish this story!!!! Lagos state belongs to everybody and my work is highly specialized. Infact if I had access to si gle digit offshore funds; I will do what my non-Nigerian contemporaries do……stay in one place and not be logging equipment up and down. As I write, I still do not know the names of these women. I could only recognise one who came with them a second time, one Mrs Ologunleko who works in Commerce. Why do some people try to polarize society and tear it apart? How does one seek redress in this kind of wicked propaganda. I have very good muslim friends and have lived peacefully with exceptionally nice muslim neighbours. These are obsessive compulsive women who are dangerous to society. I am happy that my relationship with all and sundry speaks for me and atteste to the fact that I wouldn't even TOUCH anybody randomly not to talk of pull a veil ke?!!!This is Kemi Ilori's reply to me when I confronted her with the allegation. Allahu Allam.Tunde Oduwole,I-QS.

Right on point, brother. This nothing more than terrorist in day light!
Pls, it is o.k to take offense, buh this is too much…where is the love for humanity.Demmit, u guys are acting like there are things we don't detest as much as kemi detest the face veil.As humans we all have different reactions to what we hate. Kemi has hers and alot of oda nigerians have theirs, pls lets forgive.
May Allah disgrace this Kemi Ilori fee dunyah wal akhirah
This is sad. Very sad.
Honestly speaking the level of hatred for muslim sisters is taking another dimension so we must stand up against it in totality. Why on earth she did that without sense of remose. If truly there is freedom of religion not only muslim lawyer or human right group should against this uncivilized act.

Silence in the face of oppression is a sign of inexistence. HIJAB AND VEIL IS OUR RIGTH. NEVER say no to hijab
Shameless woman, a disgrace to womanhood
Thank God a sane newspaper has brought this up,this kemi iLori must be punished to serve as lesson for others like her,the likes of her are many in the south West.
This is what we risk when we keep a divided front. Muslims have treated with neglect their fellow muslims and indeed the religion of Allah. Whenever you allow your kinsman to be sold for cheap, with or without a buy back clause, you can buy him back again at whatever costBecause Muslims have treated Hijab and Hijabi with contempt, non-muslims feel comfortable using the veil cloth as ragsThe hummah has a lot on its sleeves.
Allah is never fake. Justice must be done for the oppressor
It is definitely her, that's y she will have the audacity to do that because she thinks her father is the law
A legal action will be taken against her if she show no remorse for her action within the nexr 48 hours.
A legal action will be taken against her if she show .o remorse for her action within the nexr 48 hours.
Allah will surely punish her and we the ummah of Muhammad (saw) will never overlook this. NO JUSTICE NO PEACE ! ✌
She will surely regret it except if she repent with humility and remorse reaction.
The worst that can happen to her is what Shareefah has asked for from Allah. Let us all await Almighty Allah's judgement.
May the will of Almighty Allah prevail aamin
The case must be taken to court to prevent other people like her from doing the same thing in future. This is gross violation of Human Rights.
In sha Allah she ll soon be disgraced in this life openly.haba….
In sha Allah she ll soon be disgraced in this life openly.haba….

In sha Allah she ll soon be disgraceful in this life openly.haba….
This is totally absurd, it is a very bad act. If it's a Muslim that harass this kind of people they will go extra mile to the destroy the person. People with hypocritical act
Kemi Ilori should be prosecuted for having perpetrated such a crime. This is sheer violation of fundamental human right. However, if justice is not gotten for sister Sharifah here in this world, Allah will never leave her unpunished for it on the Day of Retribution.#islamispeace#lettherebereligioustolerance
May Allah SWT, reward her accordingly…..My sister,Shereefah…pls, hand her over to the best judge of actions…let HIM judge her. Those who disguise to be Muslims to perpetrate evil caused this..let them be judged by the most High.Mashallah
It's saddening, happenings of this nature becoming rampant in a state that represents the country! Are Yoruba Muslims too refined to be regarded? Was it our over-absorption of so called Western Education that's working against us? Kemi Ilori shouldn't go away with this,no matter who and her allies are .
It is sad that they will be saying that we muslims are the intolerant ones alas reverse is the case.i don't know why hijab is a threat to some people after all it is not enforced on anyone in Nigeria.its a matter of choice yet they will not let sleeping dogs lay.
Ma sha ALLAH!!!
The entire muslim nation gives her days to apologise. We need a peaceful atmosphere but unfortunately with people like this, there will always be chaos in the state.
I am shocked and baffled.I know a \”Kemi Ilori\” who is a Pharmacist, daughter of Justice Ilori of Lagos State Judiciary.I pray that it is not her.Tunde Oduwole,I.Quantity Surveyor.

If she tried this nonsense in the North, we do not know what would become of her by now. That is how provocation starts. Idiot!
This is serious.. Up to this extent..? People.. let's change.. For the better
All hands must be on deck to get justice for Sharifah. This arrogant, power-drunk nonentity must never go unpunished. The LASG must be pressured to act without delay. She must be humiliated too! Bunkum!
True talk my padi. Abdulmaaliq of life. ?
I can't just imagine this type of thing happening anywhere, not to talk of a place like Lagos where you expect people to be civilized, tolerant and accommodating of other people's World views, faiths and races. The woman needs to be made to express public apology or face the consequences of her high level demonstration of immaturity and incivility.
It Is A Matter Of Time Before She Is Punished Except If She Ask For Forgiveness!
The Abuser \”Kemi Ilori\” should humbly and publicly apologies to the victim and others. Using the medium to call on the intervention of the Human Right, Lagos State Muslim Community and Lagos State Muslim Lawyers.
In the region where Muslims are majority, if this is done publicly who knows what she and her allies have been doing secretly, where are the Lagos Muslims, Where is Lagos state Imam, where are other notable personalities in the region Allahu limusta'aan
That's a high level of religious intolerant and uncivilised attitude displayed. Such level of recklessness is capable of creating religious tension in our society. Every rational person should condemn such act perpetrated. She has the right to cover her face without being molested. In a civilized society, person like Kemi Ilori should be prosecuted for breach of public peace. Jesus Christ preached love not hate.Hers is extremism which leads to terrorism. Our society abhors terrorism.
I urge her to urgently show remorse and tender apology. Delay is dangerous for how many connected ones are sooner disconnected than they got connections.Isn't a time that wisdom should teach the uncovered to stop seeing themselves purer, more chaste,More dignified and more important than the covered.
SHE WILL SURE REAP WHAT SHE PLANTED.
This woman will not go unpunished, she will also be disgraced nationally. This is very heinous and unruly to a fellow woman.
Insha Allah, this woman will go unpunished and he will be greatly disgraced
How can a woman as old as this publicly dehumanise her fellow human publicly
Allah says he will not change the conditions of men except they decide to change it themselves, The change begins now people like is educated illiterate must be taught how to behave in public
