| Eksiec officials and returning officers for the 16 local governments
The result of the 2017 local government election in Ekiti state has been announced by the Ekiti state independent electoral commission with the PDP winning all the 177 councillorship seats and 16 chairmanship position as contested.
The election was contested by five political parties, excluding the main opposition , the All progressives congress making the PDP to coast to victory with little or no challenge from other four political parties.

Despite the low turn out recorded, the results announced showed a bogus record of voters turn out. For instance , in Moba local government area, the returning officer announced PDP to have polled over twenty thousand votes while in Ado Ekiti the largest local government in Ekiti state, PDP polled 43,262 votes.
