Fountain University Osogbo, a faith inspired institution of Nasiru Lhahi-Fathi Islamic organisation (NASFAT), has disclosed it’s plan to take all activities of the University online.
This was revealed by the new vice chancellor of the University, Professor Amidu Sanni while speaking with journalists in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Proffesor Amidu Sanni who resumed on the 1st of March 2018 reeled out his action plans for the University.
Amidu Sanni, a Proffesor of Arabic foreign languages disclosed that the academic curricular of Fountain University will be reviewed for optimal service.
“As we run twelve accredited courses for now, we are going to review our academic curricular so that we will be able to to have more courses. As you all know that we have clocked ten years, we are due for our programme review and that will be done to expand the academic courses offered. We are also set to start our law program after we received accreditation .”
The University management also reveleaed that it will be moving it’s activities to the digital system. “The university will from henceforth embrace E-learning, E-registration and E-congregation. Our senate meeting will from henceforth also be conducted electronically. Fountain University is poised to make everything go paperless and seamless in order to compete favourably with institutions across the globe ” Proffesor Sanni submitted.
In the area of expansion and partnership, The vice chancellor explained that the university has succeeded in securing partnership with Duke University in North Carolina U.S.A on what is tagged Duke-Engage which will have Fountain University as one of its centres for medical research. The university will also be the Centre for Open and Distance learning from the Saudi Arabian University, adding that the university is poised to offer the best education not only to Muslims alone but non-muslims alike arguing that Fountain University is a faith inspired institution but not faith based as its doors are open to all sort of humanity who desire best education that can be found around.
The university management thus seek partnership with press men in projecting the university favourably.
