Senator Ademola Adeleke who is also People Democrtic Party candidate at the just concluded Osun September gubernatorial today was arraigned before an high court sitting in Abuja along four others alledged of examination malpractices.
The senator was charged of this academic crime and brought to court through the inspector general of police, Idris Ibrahim.
Senator Ademola pleaded not guilty of the allegation before the court and was granted bail on self recognition as a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, instructed to deposit his international passport with the court resigtar which will not allow him to travel out of the country.
The court told Senator Ademola to sign a bond that he would attend the trail and would only travel out of the country when only the court grants his permission.
The second defendant Sikiru Adeleke and the third defendant Aregbeshola Mufutau who is the principal of Ojo-Aro community grammar school were also granted bail with the sum of two million naira each and with one surety each in the like sum.
The sureties must have property in Abuja and the court registrar will verify the title of the property, they are to also deposits their traveling passport with the court.
Prosecution counsel, Asistant commissioner of police Simon Laung did no’t object to the bail of the defendant, he said police granted them administrative bail and that they didn’t jump bail.
Presiding judge I.E Ekwo, however adjourned the trail to December 17, 18 and 19 of this year.
