Those who had their shops at the Police shopping complex situated at the Area Commander’s office Oyemekun road Akure would have thought that the shops being owned by the police force and situated just some meters away from a station will mean safety for their goods,but they were proved wrong as thieves descended on the shops and got them raided overnight.
As at Friday morning, ship owners who were affected were seeing loitering around the remains of their shops and they wonder how an ioeratiin that could last for a whole night went unchecked by the police officers on duty.
Residents in the area also raised concern about possible complicity of some police officers as there was no arrest made so far and investigation on the matter is yet to commence.
