Ondo 2020: Oyetola Calls For Peace and Unity Among APC Ondo Stakeholders

The Osun state Governor Gboyega Oyetola has called for peace and unity amongst stakeholders in Ondo state All Progressive Congress (APC).

The governor, who is member of APC National Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee, described the outcome of Edo governorship primary election as a no victor, no vanquished situation.

He, ahead of the October governorship election in Ondo State, charged the party’s faithful and stakeholders to unite and rally support for the party’s candidate and incumbent Ondo Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

Akeredolu, emerged candidate of the party during the Monday primary election after a keenly-contested.

He, however, expressed his happiness towards the rancour-free congress in Ondo and that the outcome should be seen as a no victor, no vanquished situation.

Oyetola expressed himself through his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan in a statement.

He said “No democracy can prosper in the absence of internal democracy. The exercise in Ondo has further proved that in APC, we believe in internal democracy.

“I congratulate my brother and colleague on his emergence. With his emergence and support of our party faithful and critical stakeholders in the State, I have no doubt that victory is assured for our party, the APC, in October.

“I salute our party faithful and stakeholders, especially all the governorship aspirants, for their courage and loyalty. I want to sincerely appeal to those who left for one reason or the other to return to our big political family, as APC is big enough to accommodate all, ” the Osun Governor added.
