School Reopening: Ogun Govt Asks Teachers To Resume Work

The Ogun state government has ordered all Secondary School Teachers to resume to work on Monday, 3rd August.

It added that the teachers are to work with their Principals in preparing for students resumption on Tuesday, 4th August 2020.

Recall that the Federal Government called for partial reopening of schools for exit classes only.

This was confirmed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary & Secondary Education, Mrs Ronke Soyombo.

She explained that resumption of Teachers ahead of students would enable them assist in the distribution of materials provided by the State Government for the WASSCE Examinations sceduled to commece in August 17th, 2020.

She added that all the guide lines stipulated by the Government for the resumption of students are to be followed strictly by all School administrators.

She, however enjoined all Stakeholders to cooperate with Government towards ensuring safe return to schools.
