Taraba Govt. gives Updates on Resumption of Tertiary Institutions

Taraba State Government says tertiary institutions in the State are free to reopen.

The directive by the government only involves Tertiary Institutions under the state ministry as well as private institutions.

The state Governor, Darius Ishaku gave the approval in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Danjuma Adamu on Friday in Jalingo Taraba State capital.

The statement read, “with the advent of COVID 19, Governor Darius Ishaku had ordered the closure all Institutions in Taraba State since March 2020, the order for reopening of the Tertiary Institutions by the governor is to ensure that all the protocols of the pandemic are well observed during resumption.

“The governor has directed the ministry for tertiary institutions in the state to instruct the schools’ management over the protocols and also announce the particular date for the resumption.”

The schools that are to receive directives on resumption from the ministry of tertiary Institutions are the Taraba State University, College of Education Zing, Taraba State Polytechnic Suntai and all the private Tertiary Institutions in the state.
