BREAKING: Court Remands Sowore, Four Others to Kuje Prison

A Magistrate court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, ordered that the convener of RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and four others should be remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre.

However, the court stated that their formal bail application will be heard tomorrow, January 5, 2020.

Sowore was arrested by the police for leading a protest against bad governance on New Year’s Eve in Abuja.

He was arraigned and remanded alongside, Juwon Sanyaolu, Damilare Adenola, Peter and Kimrere.

He is being arraigned alongside four others by the Federal Government on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.

However, they all pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them.
