President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo as the Acting Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Monday, Buhari has formally conveyed the approval to the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo.
Shehu said the approval is pending the appointment of a substantive Director-General for the agency.
Last month, Buhari sacked the former DG of the agency, Nasiru Argungu.
The president, thereafter, directed the minister to nominate an Acting DG to superintend over the agency pending the appointment of a substantive DG.
