The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has postponed the resumption of civil servants on Grade Levels 14 and below till Monday, February 1.
The governor had earlier announced January 18 as its resumption date for public servants from GL 14 and below.
He gave the order to curtail the spread of COVID-19 following the resurgence of COVID-19.
Sanwo-Olu’s approval was contained in a statement released by the Ministry of Information and Strategy and signed by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, on Saturday.
Muri-Okunola noted that the directive excludes staff on essential duty, as well as First Responders.
He urged all public servants to stay safe and ensure continued adherence to all COVID-19 protocols in order to rid the state of the pandemic.
Muri-Okunola also stated that the weekly duty rosters should be maintained for effective service delivery by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the State Government.
