COVID-19: NCDC records 1,634 new cases, six additional deaths

A total of one thousand, six hundred thirty-four, 1,634, new cases of COVID-19 infections have been recorded in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced the figure on Tuesday night in a tweet via its official Twitter account.

NCDC said Lagos State and Anambra recorded 440 and 160 cases, respectively, while FCT followed with 158 cases.

The public health agency also recorded six additional COVID-19 related deaths.

It also discharged 551 persons in Lagos State, 213 in Kaduna State and 103 in Kano State managed in line with guidelines.

Nigeria now has a total of 133,552 confirmed cases and 1,613 deaths.
