The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 24 new deaths due to COVID-19, total number of fatalities now 1,734.
It also recorded 1,005 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the country to 144,521.
The health agency made the confirmation on Friday night via a report on its official website.
It also said that 507 patients have recovered and have been discharged in Lagos and Plateau States. No fewer than 118,866 patients have so far recovered from the dreaded virus.
