Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State through the Directorate of Students’ affairs has sworn in newly elected Students’ Union executives on Friday, 19th 2021.
The election started by 9am and ended by 2pm while the elected executives were sworn in by the Polytechnic lawyer, Barrister Babatunde immediately after the end of voting system.
TimenewsNG had earlier reported that Adekunle Fatai Kehinde also known as Kennie SP emerged the winner of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state, Students’ Union Presidential election.
The results was announced on Friday by the Independent College Electoral Committee(ICEC) chairman, Comrade Kamorudeen Akeem a.k.a Kebe.

The electoral process was observed by the security agencies, National Association of Nigerian Students’ (NANS) executives, the press and was adjudged to be free, fair and credible.
The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Gbenga Aleminu in his address thanked the God Almighty for causality free election, the Security Personnel, NANS National body and the Polytechnic Security Unit for observing the conduct of election to ensure peaceful and credible electoral process.
He further thanked the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Lateef Ademola Olatunji for the support to ensure free, fair and transparent e-voting system under his administration.
The NANS, President, Comrade Asefon in his remarks congratulated the newly elected executives and charged them to allow the interest and welfarism of the students to be their priority.
The newly elected President, Adekunle Fatai Kehinde from Insurance Department had 3040 votes while his running mate, Alabi Kerimot Temitope from Library and Information Science Department had 1300 votes respectively.
