COVID-19: Enugu leads as NCDC reports 269 new cases in 18 states, FCT

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 269 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country so far to 158,506.

The health agency, while giving the report on its website last night, indicated that five persons died due to COVID-19 complications in the country, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,969.

The health agency made the announcement on Sunday night via a tweet on it’s verified Twitter handle.

NCDC also confirmed the discharge of 80 patients in  Kwara State. No fewer than 137,875 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
