The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 44 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 4 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The new figure brings the total number of recorded infections in the country to 163,837.
The health agency made the announcement on Monday night while giving the daily report on its official website.
NCDC also announced that about 70 patients were discharged as total recovery jumped to 154,177.
It also reported one death in the last 24-hour; so far, the country has recorded 2,061 fatalities due to complications from the dreaded virus.
